Louis Vuitton’s Striking “Objets Nomades” Arrive at Frieze LA
Louis Vuitton is partnering with Frieze LA for the first time with a presentation of its “Objets Nomades” collection at Los Angeles’ Milk Studios. Since its formation in 2012, the collection has continued Louis Vuitton’s tradition of beautifully crafted travel-inspired objects, while perpetuating the creativity and innovation that has driven the House for over 165 years.
The experimental prototypes that make up the Objets Nomades pay homage to Louis Vuitton’s storied past — such as the 1874 Bed Trunk produced for French explorer Pierre Savorgnan de Brazza — while incorporating the contemporary visions of creative designers from all over the world. From swing chairs to mirrors, tables to lamps and stools to sofas, the collection has grown to include a full range of meticulously crafted designs that focus on experimental forms, high-quality materials and carefully balanced proportions.
Check out the Objets Nomades in the gallery above. The collection is on view during Frieze LA from now until February 16.
